Entering Tuesday, Juventus Champions League campaign hanging by a thread, Arturo Vidal came through with his first career hat trick in a 3-1 win over FC København. With the victory Juve jumped from 4th to 2nd in the competitive Champions League group.
The Chilean International is considered one of the hottest possible commodities in European Football but he has pronounced his desire to stay in Turin.
“I’m always delighted here — the Juve shirt is very important for me,” he said. “I always try to help my teammates when I play. I think we’re really close [to a new contract], there’s just some very, very minor things to iron out.
“I would even sign it tomorrow. I’m just waiting to hear what the club think.”
Juventus have indicated an announcement regarding Vidal could be imminent.
