A new month means that the World Cup gets even closer. By the time this weekend’s games conclude, we will be just two weeks away from the first kickoff in Qatar. Therefore, this is the penultimate weekend of Premier League action before the Boxing Day fixtures.

There are some tasty fixtures on the docket for the first weekend of November. Two top-three teams are in action in pivotal games against fellow ‘big-six’ sides.

Both of those are on Sunday. The first game on that day is Arsenal’s trip to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea. Arsenal remains atop the table after a dominant win against Nottingham Forest. The three points came as a massive sigh of relief after drawing against Southampton. Chelsea, on the other hand, is on a little spiral. Two points from its last three games, including a frankly embarrassing loss at the hands of a strong Brighton side. It looks to deal Arsenal just the Gunners’ second loss of the season.

Arsenal’s north London rival, Tottenham, is at home this weekend. The opponent at hand is a frustrated Liverpool outfit. Currently ninth in the Premier League table, Liverpool is coming off back-to-back losses. Both came against lowly teams, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United. Now, Liverpool goes to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where Spurs have five wins and a loss through six games.

Finally, Unai Emery returns to the Premier League fold this weekend as the boss of Aston Villa. However, he has a tough task ahead of him as Villa host Manchester United. United is unbeaten in its last five, most recently picking up a win against West Ham.

NBC coverage

Remember, the clocks shifted in Europe this past weekend. Meanwhile, clocks change here in the United States this weekend. Therefore, the Saturday kickoffs are delayed by an hour from their usual start times.

However, the usual content is still there for NBC’s coverage of the Premier League. Yet, it is somewhat more scarce than usual. Premier League Mornings on Saturday starts at 10 in the morning. Then, the busy slate of kickoffs is in the 11 a.m. window that day, when there are four games simultaneously.

GOAL RUSH is available on Peacock Premium during the four 11 a.m. kickoffs on Saturday.

On Sunday, the only buffer coverage is before and after the Tottenham-Liverpool game at 11:30 a.m. That means there is no Premier League Mornings before the Chelsea-Arsenal game, or Premier League live before the three 9 a.m. kickoffs.

Also, the only Premier League game in 4K this weekend is the Chelsea-Arsenal contest on Sunday morning. Ensure that you have the correct subscriptions and hardware to watch the most competitive soccer league in higher resolution.
