Rockmount is a brilliant short film about Roy Keane’s youth career in Ireland and how he starts out on the road to success that led him to Manchester United and his national team.
The 11-year-old Roy Keane, played by actor Craig Keane Harrington, started his career at Rockmount, the club in Cork that helped him on his way to a professional career with Nottingham Forest and Brian Clough.
The film shows how the determination, work ethic, attitude and aggressiveness that turned Keane into one of the most feared but successful footballers of his generation.
It’s a must-watch. And in just 13 minutes, it beautifully encapsulates so much of the character of Roy Keane.
